I have been working as an artist for 30+ years and have developed a passion for creating and embellishing handmade papers, for collecting odds and ends of discarded materials, and for making little watercolor sketches of the world around me. I am at heart a storyteller, and this is reflected in everything I create.
My second love is teaching, so I invite you look over my shoulder as I create my artwork IN MY STUDIO blog.
In the Handmade Paper Sculpture Collages, color, texture and form combine with hand-crafted shapes to bring an image to life. Sometimes, the papers just have a party all there own and are wonderful to look at by themselves (as the collage shown above as a banner.)
In my Vintage Fragments Collages, a delightful array of vintage and antique bits and pieces combine with my papers to create stories of time travel...who last touched these treasured bits?....what story might be told?
Finally, my watercolor sketches from my daily life and the world around me, sparkle when surrounded by my papers and and and fragments of bygone times in my Sketchbook Series. These pieces celebrate the enduring delight we find in the ordinary things that surround us.
Thank you again for stopping by. I would love to hear from you as you look around my website and welcome any questions you have.
"Lost in Time" Collage Series will become a step-by- step, how-to book, helping people
create simple ways to display pieces of personal family history.

Atlas Moth will be going to the Sertoma Butterfly House in Sioux Falls, S.D. (photo that inspired me taken there) for silent auction May 1 to support the organization.
